                         Memphis Essay

Come and see what every rocker's dream is. Memphis is always shining bright with the blues and barbecue restaurants at every corner. Visitors of Memphis, come check out the important sights and locations of our city. Explore the beautiful Orpheum, to watch plays and maybe even run into the paranormal on the catwalks. Next, is the Pink Palace, which holds the remains of the Civil War, fossils, and the IMAX Theater. Lastly, there is Graceland, where Elvis Presley, the king of rock, lived. Think these are interesting? Just wait until I tell the full tour. So strap in, and let's head to our first stop, the Orpheum.

"Yeah", "Awesome", the crowd cheers after a fantastic performance at the Orpheum. This place is a perfect spot for all the movie-goers out there, with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Beverages are served at a convenient bar, before the marvelous shows. They also have caring employees that help and guide guests to their seats. There have been stage performances here by David Copperfield, Grease, and Hairspray. Legend has it, that a spooky girl ghost roams the catwalks when everyone has left. If this was enjoyable, come join the audience at the Orpheum. Next stop, the palace of pink, the Pink Palace!

Once owned by the creator of Piggly Wiggly, comes the gigantic Pink Palace. Once inside, be blown away by all the science. The good thing is that the theme changes every few months, so the place never gets old. Go to the IMAX Theater, and see colorful movies like, Mars Rover, Under the Sea, and Dinosaurs: Underwater Killers. Search around the building, and find one billion year old fossils and solve crimes in the CSI area. Look at the nighttime sky, with their space observatory. When the customers get hungry, they can come to the food court for various food items. Lastly on this fine tour, is Graceland, the center of Memphis music.

You would be nothing but a hound dog, if people didn't come to this mansion to visit. This place has rooms with rock-and-roll guitars from past shows. They also, display Elvis' beautiful golden records on the walls. Look at the king of rock in photos from years past. Listen to his extraordinary music that was created and performed by Elvis himself. Also check out, his collection of expensive cars, and see his fabulous stage costumes hung on lonely mannequins. Walk through every floor, and find even more interesting facts about him and his awesome lifestyle. Elvis may have "Left the Building", but his soul will forever remain in the grounds of Graceland.

Visitors of Memphis, those were just some of the exciting locations of the city. If this tour was awesome, also check out the Peabody Hotel, where ducks roam the hallways, and Beale Street where the world famous Hard Rock Cafe is located. Clap hands and shout if the Orpheum was a good show. Maybe, shoot for the stars in the event that the Pink Palace was a blast. Strum a guitar if Graceland was super. If this tour was entertaining, please donate to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital here in town. Also, eat at the scrumptious Central Barbecue, located in the center of town, to have the sandwich of a lifetime. Finally, if this was a very informative and cool tour please come check us out again here, at Memphis, Tennessee.

                         Research Paper

Very stealthily, it creeps through the jungle searching and searching for a victim to slaughter. The velociraptor is as deadly as a wild grizzly bear that has been poked with a stick too many times. The velociraptor is the deadliest and wildest creature ever, out of all the living creatures, in the universe! The hunting tactics of them are very well planned out. Their characteristics help them be very stealthy and very well hunters. Don’t get close to these animals, because their defensive maneuver is very deadly. All these things make them a killing machine, wrapped into one small bundle. They are obviously the most amazing creatures ever!

The Velociraptor was a vigorous animal, and it had many hunting tactics. It always had an aggressive attitude, and the thirst for a helpless victim's blood. It traveled in herds of about five or six. It was a very intelligent creature, so it communicated with each other to plan a feast. Velociraptor was so tough that it could survive in the harshest of conditions, like the fire-hot sun of the beachside, or the freezing-cold moonlight of the Arctic Circle. The following information was gathered from www.dinstoreus.com, they were very fast runners, and their prey couldn't see them coming. They were also as heavy as a large dog, they weighed about fifteen to thirty pounds, and this made them very good jumpers. Paleontologists have discovered their kind in Mongolia, Russia, and China. It may sound short and cute, but it was a vigorous killer under disguise.

Scientists found this species very elaborate for it's time. It was fascinating to many people, and there was nothing like in the world. It had an excellent sense of smell; Velociraptor could sniff a drop of blood from about three football fields away. Their bodies were covered in scales; this helped them blend easily into their environment. They usually dwelled in the depths of the jungles. While looking through www.emerson.k12.nj.us, Velociraptor lived during the Late Cretaceous Period. Its mouth was like a wood chipper, destroying anything that got into it. It concealed about eighty teeth that were razor sharp! Some of them were over an inch long in length. Velociraptor's name had a frightening meaning "Speedy Thief". They had awesome features that people all over the world are still amazed by.

If you think you could take on one of these creatures, think again! Velociraptor had a deadly defensive maneuver, which had evolved from time. When it was pounced upon, by an enemy, it did a barrel roll, literally "turning" the fight around. In David Bergen's Life-Size Dinosaurs (pages 41 and 46), when you thought you're winning it slowly pulled out its three inch long claw. Next, it gouged it into its stunned enemy. Every type of Velociraptor shared their claw on their second toe. Its cousin, Megaraptor, had a claw that was about eight meters long! Its other relative, the Bambiraptor, had claws that were only less than an inch long! Raptors all had a bird's body, and they also had feathers on their head and arms. They still couldn't fly, but they could jump very high. So, think twice before even getting close to one of these little devils.

They may have been in a small size, but after research, they turned out to be vicious predators! Research concludes that the Velociraptor was and is the deadliest creature ever. This was said, because of its aggressive hunting tactics. Maybe, it was its amazing characteristics, and being different from anything else in the world. Lastly, it was because of its ability to stay alive in a duel, because of its surprising defensive maneuver. We would be doomed if something tougher came alive, and wiped out the human race! As one should had learned from reading the details stated above, the Velicoraptor was the deadliest animal to ever roam planet Earth.
